The Plainfield Fire Protection District is offering a Firefighter/Paramedic Camp for girls ages 11 to 15. The camp will give attendees an opportunity to learn about the fire service and career opportunities within the fire service. The camp will include a combination of classroom instruction, tours of fire stations and the 9-1-1 center, fire service vehicles and equipment as well as some hands-on training alongside current Firefighter/Paramedics. The goal of the camp is to introduce attendees to the fire service and encourage them to consider careers in this challenging and rewarding profession.
The camp will be held June 25th through June 27th from 9 am to noon each day. To enroll please visit the Fire District’s website at www.PlainfieldFPD.org to download and complete the required registration forms and return the completed registration forms to the Plainfield Fire Protection District on or before May 31st. Registration forms may be mailed or dropped off at the Fire District’s Headquarters, 23748 W. 135th Street, Plainfield, IL 60544 or faxed to 815-436-6420. Space is limited to 20 attendees and the final day for registration is Friday, May 31st or when camp is full.
