The Plainfield Fire Protection District is offering a Firefighter/Paramedic Camp for girls ages 11 to 15. The camp will give attendees an opportunity to learn about the fire service and career opportunities within the fire service. The camp will include a combination of classroom instruction, tours of fire stations and the 9-1-1 center, fire service vehicles and equipment as well as some hands-on training alongside current Firefighter/Paramedics. The goal of the camp is to introduce girls to the fire service and encourage them to consider careers in this challenging and rewarding profession.
The camp will be held August 1st through August 3rd from 9 am to noon each day. To enroll please visit the Fire District’s website at www.PlainfieldFPD.com to download and complete the required registration forms and return the completed registration forms to the Plainfield Fire Protection District on or before July 27, 2018. Registration forms may be mailed or dropped off at the Fire District’s Headquarters, 23748 W. 135th Street, Plainfield, IL 60544. Space is limited to 14 attendees and the final day for registration is Friday, July 27th or when camp is full.
